Volunteering for Mazi Mas

Mazi Mas is a social enterprise dedicated to supporting women from migrant and refugee communities. They provide opportunities for women who aspire to careers in the food industry to gain paid work experience, develop their skills, tell their stories, and connect with the wider public. Head Chef Andrew Finch spent a morning volunteering with them last week, teaching a class about meat preparation. “It was great fun, the ladies were very receptive to being taught new skills, although some of them were teaching me- I learnt all about Iranian spices and all about the dried fruits that they use for cooking”
