TEAM VACH HEAD TO THE BEACH, BIN BAGS AT THE READY!

As part of UK Volunteers Week, Vacherin hosted its first beach clean on Gabriel’s Wharf in central London. The team started with a morning briefing from ByWaters who outlined the growing problem of plastic pollution on our waters both nationally and globally. Thanks to the ‘David Attenborough affect’ more and more people are becoming aware of the issue and want to help solve it.

After some tea and shortbread, we divided into two groups and combed the beach picking up a plethora of litter – including shoes, a bucket and a surprisingly high number of plastic cable ties! Congratulations to Indre and all of Team One for removing the most plastic from the beach.s #BeatPlasticPollution
