Last month, we embarked on the ultimate coffee tasting adventure - a bespoke tour of London’s trendiest coffee spots with our coffee partner, Redemption Roasters.
This exclusive coffee crawl was the prize for the 2nd place runner-up team from our Crush the Rush barista competition held in November.
The day kicked off at Redemption’s flagship café in Covent Garden, where our hosts treated us to their seasonal specialties. The Tiramisu Cream Cold Brew and Miso Hot Chocolate were the perfect energisers to kick-start our journey. From there, the coffee tour took us through a variety of exceptional coffee shops, each with its own unique appeal.
Stop 1: Prufrock
23-25 Leather Lane, EC1N 7TE, London
Our first stop was this buzzing café in Leather Lane. Prufrock’s contemporary-industrial vibe and extensive breakfast/brunch menu have made it a local favourite. While the filter coffee wasn’t the top pick for our experts, the macchiato stood out as a winner. The downside? Waiting times were longer than expected—but the vibrant atmosphere made up for it.
Stop 2: Scenery Coffee Roasters

The standout of the day! Scenery Coffee Roasters in Southwark wowed us with their focus on exceptional coffee production and cutting-edge brewing equipment. Their freshly roasted beans delivered the best coffee of the tour, winning praise from all of us.
Stop 3: Rosslyn
118 London Wall, London EC2Y 5JA
After a lunch break at Borough Market, we headed to Rosslyn in Moorgate. Known for its clean, minimal design and efficient service, Rosslyn lived up to its reputation as a City favourite. The flat white and cortado, paired with friendly smiles from the baristas, provided a much-needed caffeine boost for us all.
Stop 4: Commons
207 City Road, EC1V 1JT
We ended the crawl at Commons, a stunning boutique café in Old Street Works. The Mango Matcha Latte was a tasty surprise, and the espresso was the perfect finale to our day. Beyond the drinks, the warm customer service and meticulous attention to detail left a lasting impression—this gem is definitely on our revisit list!
