Alice Barrett wins ACE Robyn’s award

The Association of Catering Excellence (ACE) has announced Alice Barrett of Vacherin as the winner of the 2024 ACE Robyns Award at its annual summer party.

Alice, who leads Vacherin’s Entrée (reception services), was named the overall winner in front of over 200 hospitality guests at the British Library. As part of her prize, she will receive the Robyns Trophy and lifetime membership to ACE.

Tim Jones, co-founder of CH&CO with his late wife Robyn, served as a judge and said, “I’d like to congratulate all of the entrants. This year’s entries were even stronger than last year, making it incredibly difficult to create a shortlist. The judges faced tough decisions, but I’m sure Robyn would have been very pleased with the winner and the success of the awards.”

Alice will be invited to sit on the ACE board for the next year to ensure the needs of younger generations are considered.

Francois Gautreaux, ACE chairman said, “The Robyns awards are always an exciting time, and this year was no exception. We had a strong group of nominees, with the top three scoring so closely that only fractions separated them. Alice is a deserving winner, and we look forward to working with her on the ACE board over the coming year.”
