At a global law firm, the ground floor coffee bar and terrace space was underused and purely transactional, with no real customer dwell time or interaction. The firm wanted to turn this space into a vibrant cultural hub
—a place where casual collisions and interactions could happen naturally, away from desks.
Vacherin’s Head of Sparkle conducted an onsite review to assess the space, service, and current challenges. During this process, the General Manager pointed out an emerging trend: a rise in demand for sweet
treats and desserts. This insight became a key focus for transforming the area.
We proposed a complete redesign, including a refreshed layout with varied seating options including booths to encourage longer stays. The terrace was revamped with the introduction of an outdoor BBQ and a new pop-up mobile dessert station, adding flexibility and expanding the food offering beyond peak hours. The transformation brought the space to life, making it a key social spot within the firm.
Now, the coffee bar and terrace are heavily utilised, hosting cultural and sporting events like Wimbledon fortnight, and we even launched the revamped space with a mini food festival on the terrace. Our refreshed
approach turned this once-overlooked area into a thriving hub of connection and activity.
